Art to Healing empowers women and children globally who have been sold into sex slavery to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives free from trauma, exploitation and abuse.
Art to Healing believe that to transform the unimaginable physical and emotional trauma these women and children have experienced into self-love, resilience and self-compassion, awareness and kindness need to be brought to the physical experiences within the body.
Women and children are supported in transforming their lives and healing their bodies through expressive art therapies, Somatic Experiencing®, trauma informed yoga and mindfulness based practices.
Thank you for your support!
Mamma's of the Moon
Yasemin is the co-founder of Voices of the Moon. She earned her Speech Pathologist Bachlore’s of Health in 2010 and has been exploring since then how to support people in healing, awakening and balancing their connection with their voice as well as the physiological structures that support speech.
In 2013 Yasemin moved to Sri Lanka to begin working as a Speech Pathologist with children as well as helping an organisation for stray dogs. Her perspective on life was vastly expanded living within a mix of Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim and Christian spiritual culture. It was here she experienced how polarised life can be; the deep poverty and darkness that exists alongside the beauty, gentleness and abundance of the world. Something shifted for her in this journey, a realisation that perhaps there is something more to this life than we are first told.
In 2018 Yasemin followed an impulse that had been whispering in her heart for many years, she embarked on the Camino del Santiago. Along the road it became ever increasingly clear the need to trust her heart and follow it’s inner whispers, even if it meant leaving the safety of what she knew.
She initially earned her 200 HR Yoga YTT certification in Nepal and studied Tibetan Buddhism. It was then that she climbed the highest mountain in the world to find her inner truth. It was in the Himalayas that she learned that challenging herself brings you further in life. She also learned the fundamental need to connect to nature daily.
Through her connection to the earth and walking barefoot she learned to respect and listen to Pachamama. She found that listening to your body everyday prevents injury and cultivates a life lived in greater alignment and connection.
Yasemin then made her way to Thailand and has since dedicated herself to the Bhakti path. She was able to heal herself from chronic back pain by practicing yoga daily. She studied massage and learned Thai massage in Thailand. Yasemin also has a love of water and studied waterflow/aquatic bodywork as a form of therapy in Thailand.
She currently offers these services in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. Yasemin and Ellanah regularly offer Women’s full moon & new moon ceremonies. Yasemin is passionate about the link between speech pathology and womyn’s voice activation.
Devoted to supporting women to connect deeper to their true essence and the beauty of life embodied. Ellanah has been creating spaces of transformation through movement, breathwork, self-inquiry and energy healing work for over 8 years.
She has travelled learning from teachers around the world, from India to Guatemala, Thailand to Australia, Indonesia to the UK, exploring the common thread of Unity that pulses at the heart of all teachings.
Her first connection with Yoga and Meditation came in her teen years, they became an anchor and light for her in a world that didn’t make sense. A journey with depression, as well as chronic gut imbalances and PCOS led her deeper along the path of discovering the healing powers that lie within us all. Her Yoga practice deepened and she was initiated through the levels of Reiki to Reiki Master. She found the more she followed her heart and began to live in greater harmony with nature & her Soul the more balance and love expanded within her life. At the time she was studying for her Bachelors in Social Anthropology at the London School of Economics; exploring who we are as a species from an intellectual perspective, though her Heart longed to live and breathe this exploration from an embodied and experiential perspective.
Her Heart guided her to barefoot living on a Thai island where Ellanah was blessed to be invited to teach as part of Pure Flow Yoga, where combined with the other retreats she has co-created, has taught on close to 100 retreats. She experiences retreats as powerful wombs of rebirth and is forever in gratitude and awe at the journeys people go on and the connections that are formed when they step into retreat containers.
Ellanah feels honoured and passionate about creating these spaces for us to come home to living embodied, to realizing the creative and infinite potential that lies within and to simply soften home to being.
Over the years, Annabelle’s explorations of yoga have brought her back to herself again and again.
She has studied with some some incredibly renowned yoga teachers across the world as well as pilgriming through India engaging in deep self study.
Originally from the UK, she has since taught in yoga studios, private classes, workshops, courses and retreats internationally. She now resides in the jungle in Costa Rica, with the intention to deepen her connection to self, the divine and the natural world around her.
Ultimately, this is her mission, to inspire others in this same way, thanks to the weaving of Tantric teachings with Bhakti yoga.
While practicing with Annabelle, you will experience the art of conscious embodiment. Her practices are dynamic, with an immense focus on presence, meditation in motion, experienced through the union of breath and body.
“Voices of the Moon are the purest souls, who nurture you into the remembering of the truth of who you are. They hold such loving, graceful, safe space for you to be just as you are while inspiring you to be the next higher version of yourself.
If you get the chance to work with these incredible women, join in on a retreat, or be in a sacred circle with them don’t hesitate. Your heart will melt open and you’ll be blessed with a belly full of laughter, tears of gratitude, & a joyful soul.”

“This retreat was truly an expanding experience. It allowed me to connect and appreciate myself in a way that I don't think I ever before have. My voice and connection with my feminine self has felt so much stronger and aligned since this experience. Yasemin and Ellanah truly put their heart and soul into this retreat, and I'm so grateful that I followed my soul's push to get me to be a part of it.”
“The Voices of the Moon retreat was so deeply healing and liberating.
It liberated my voice, my body, and freed me of deep sisterhood wounds.
These women hosted such a nurturing and wild retreat that brought me back home to the true wild magic of this human life.”
